Rosa Romero Fillat, Paints & Engravings
My work arises from a vital necessity of self-exploration. I try to finda connection between my inner spaces and nature in order to recognise my imaginary in the environment, while I try to recognise myself in this process.
To recognise myself through my work means to recognise the world and to subtract its essence. What is suggested, insinuated, ethereal, that simultaneously is here and is not here: this is the right balance that allows me to live this feeling.
I therefore look for the substance rather than the form, the abstract rather than the physical, the intuited rather than the explicit. My work requires a mindful interpretation because it comes from a mindful expression.
The Macrocosm and the Microcosm have an identical expression and speak the same language. In one world inhabit the others, nature is fractal harmony. I aspire that the intangible suggests the tangible; I pretend to capture the form in the non-form, thus return a more seductive message, a more powerful image yet simple at the same time.
As a synthesis: what my work reflects allows me to better know myself, acting as a mirror. And these reflections vibrate again in my interior, and my perception is clarified, allowing me to discover in this process new life-experience nuances that return to me in a constant flux of knowledge.
As disposed by the principles of correspondence, like is the inside, like is the outside, like isabove, like is below; and there it is my search field. I am my work, andthus my work is me.
